Development of Patch Array Antenna Using the Feed Structure by a Cavity Resonator

(in English) A patch array antenna with a cavity resonator fed structure is proposed for use as a transmitting and receiving antenna in microwave power transmission systems. When using array antennas to obtain high directivity, tournament-type distributors are commonly used, but the problem is that it is difficult to design the amplitude distribution. By the proposed structure, the sidelobe level could be reduced by adjusting the coupling slots width between the cavity and the patch antenna.
