A Design Method of Polarization Splitters with Circular Cores and Hollow Pits

(in English) In this paper, a design method of a polarization splitter consisted of fiber1 with a single core and fiber2 with circular pits that touch the top and bottom of a single core is investigated. Structural parameters are designed while changing the core radius, and the relationship between element length and bandwidth is analyzed. Furthermore, it is also examined that the influence for bandwidth by the displacement angle that occurs when fiber2 is tilted and coupled to fiber1.
