Recently, millimeter-wave and THz bands have been attracting attention as transmission media for high-speed wireless communications. However, short-wavelength radio waves would be scattered by surfaces of objects around us, because such radio waves are sensitive to small surface roughness. Particular, scattering phenomena have been reported theoretically and experimentally in light scattering. To investigate short-wavelength radio-wave scattering, we used a mathematical model based on stochastic analysis, where distributions of scattered waves are described by roughness parameters. We will propose the result of experiment and simulation for millimeter-wave scattering distribution. |
