[Encouragement Talk] SS/PBCH Block Features and PCID/Radio Frame Timing Detection Methods for NR Radio Interface

(in English) This paper presents sequences and multiplexing schemes of synchronization signals of SS/Physical Broadcast Channel (PBCH) block for 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) New Radio (NR) radio interface. We also describe Physical-layer Cell Identity (PCID) detection method, radio frame timing detection method, and System Frame Number (SFN) synchronization method by using Primary Synchronization Signal (PSS), Secondary Synchronization Signal (SSS), and PBCH. Moreover, we describe link-level simulation results on the PCID detection probability and the radio frame detection probability, which indicate the effectiveness of the SS/PBCH block for the NR radio interface.
