Performance evaluation using several routing methods for traffic networks

(in English) Congestions occur depending on the number of flowing objects such as vehicles in the road networks or packets in the packet-switched networks. A routing method that uses past transmission information has been proposed to alleviate the congestion in the packet-switched networks. This method transmits more packets than the conventional hop-distance type shortest path approach. However, we confirmed in preliminary numerical experiments that packets moved looped paths or detoured hub nodes. To overcome these undesirable problems, we in this report put several routing methods in the networks based on their degree. Numerical simulations then illustrate that our approach keeps a high arrival rate of packets while shortening the number of hops and arrival times to the destinations.
