PSO-based Bifurcation Point Detection of Discrete-Time Dynamical System with Numerical Differentiation

(in English) In dynamical systems, it is important to analyze bifurcation phenomena, and Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)-based bifurcation point detection method, which does not require any gradient information and any appropriate initial value, was proposed. However, its objective function for detecting bifurcation points includes Jacobian matrix, and its partial differential are calculated by hand. Therefore, we propose to calculate the partial differential with a numerical differential. By using the numerical differential, instead of allowing for errors in the derivation, we can easily calculate the partial differential without depending on specific programming languages. Computer simulation results shows that the method using numerical differential can detect bifurcation points with the equivalent accuracy as that using formula differential.
