Investigation of Long Distance Contactless Power Transmission in Seawater

(in English) This report describes the transmission characteristics of long distance contactless power transmission in seawater. Three types of medium, air, water and seawater are used, and their power efficiency, power and total power loss is measured and compared through experiments. In order to investigate these factors, magnetic flux density is measured by magnetic field analysis. In this report, the leakage flux and transmission system in a long distance and seawater are investigated by simulation and experiments. The results presented in this report found that contactless power transmission in long distance decreases the power efficiency and increases the leakage flux, and seawater increases the loss.
