Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Currently, the use of microwave and millimeter-wave bands is being considered for outdoor applications to cope with the increase in communication traffic due to the diversification of wireless communications such as the IoT. In these frequency bands, the propagation loss factor is about three to four powers when the transmission and reception propagation paths are out of sight, so it is necessary to find a way to reduce the propagation loss. We proposed a LoS-MIMO transmission method using a drone as a relay station, where the received power and the K-factor, which is the ratio of the power of standing waves to irregular waves, are known to affect the performance of LoS-MIMO. Therefore, we measured the received power using a drone in the 5/26 GHz band. This study clarifies how the K-factor changes when the antenna height is changed. From the experimental propagation loss, the relationship between the antenna height and the K-factor is shown in a simple equation.
