A Consideration on DOA Measurement Method at 300 GHz Band by The Double-Directional Rotating Reflector Antenna

(in English) For realizing even higher data rates, terahertz frequency bands are being considered for Beyond 5G/6G wireless communication systems. And the propagation characteristics are needed to be clarified. Since terahertz frequency bands have higher propagation loss, the received signal cannot obtain sufficient signal-nose ratio and the measurement accuracy will be decreased with the conventional DOA measurement method. In this paper, The DOA Measurement method which combining measurement using “the rotating reflector antenna” on the observation side and wave source side with off-line synthesis for high precision DOA measurement in the terahertz band is provided, which
it is verified by measurement in indoor multiple reflection environment. From the results, it is shown that the measurement and the ray tracing simulation results are well matched by setting the measurement angle interval to an appropriate value.
