[Poster Presentation] Planar Sleeve Antenna with Choke Structure Composed of Zeroth-Order Resonator

(in English) A choke structure of the sleeve antenna is required to suppress the leakage current. However, the choke length is 1/4 wavelength, the physical size of the choke structure becomes large in low frequency. To reduce the size of the choke structure of the sleeve antenna, a sleeve antenna with a coaxial choke structure using composite right/left-handed transmission line (CRLH TL) that operates at zeroth-order resonance has been proposed. However, the proposed antenna is difficult to manufacture because the antenna is three-dimensional and complex. In this paper, a planar sleeve antenna using a choke structure designed to operate at zeroth-order resonance mode by constructing CRLH TL on a dielectric substrate is proposed.
