Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In recent years, the number of IoT devices has been increasing rapidly, and traffic is also expected to increase. In an environment where a large number of IoT devices are densely installed, collision is a serious problem, and dynamic channel selection methods become important for efficient use of limited frequency resources. LoRa is one of Low-Power-Wide-Area (LPWA) methods, and its channel selection problem can be defined as a MAB problem for reinforcement learning. The MAB-based channel selection algorithm learns by receiving ACK responses, so it does not require synchronization between devices or heavy calculation load and can achieve autonomous distributed channel selection. In this presentation, we implemented an autonomous distributed channel selection algorithm based on TOW dynamics in a LoRa device and conducted experiments in static and dynamic situations in an environment consisting of 30 LoRa nodes and 3 LoRa GWs. In the experiments, we compare and evaluate our algorithm with other algorithms such as $epsilon$-greedy and UCB1-tuned, and the results show that the algorithm based on TOW dynamics has the best performance.
