[Poster Presentation] Power Allocations for Partial-Access IDMA Systems and Their Performance

(in English) $K$-user partial-access (PA) IDMA system is the IDMA system in which the 0s, i.e., nonenergy transmission, are inserted into the chip sequences and the number of active users transmitting nonzero symbols in each time is constant $G(< K)$. It was shown that, because of fewer loops in the sparse factor graph, the LDPC-coded partial access has better decoding performance than that of the conventional full access in a range of low Eb/N0. Due to the random insertion of 0s, however the power allocation over fading channels is unavailable.
In this work, the power allocation is proposed for PA-IDMA systems. In the systems, the users are divided into $G$ groups, and within each group the users are time-shared without interference each other. This grouping maintains the partial $G$-access, keeps the interference strength being constant at each time for each user even for fading channels, and makes the power allocation available. Equal and unequal received power allocations are investigated, and bit error rates are evaluated by simulations.
