Attribute-based Encryption (ABE) allows fine grain access control in the system. In this work, we look into practical use of ABE by implementing it with C language as a core algorithm for the file encryption application. The time required in each library function is measured and the possible reduction of time is predicted when hardware acceleration is available. It is shown that the hardware acceleration is essential in the file encryption application where response time is crucial. |
