Frequency Utilization Efficiency of Spectrum Suppressed Transmission for ESV
Kenji Yanagida, Takatoshi Sugiyama (Kogakuin Univ.) SAT2021-51
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In order to solve the problem of depletion of the frequency bandwidth, which is a finite resource necessary for the use of wireless communication systems, spectrum suppressed transmission technology has been proposed to reduce the required bandwidth than Nyquist bandwidth and has improved the frequency utilization efficiency. Conventionally, spectrum suppressed transmission has been evaluated in only AWGN (Additive White Gaussian Noise) environment assuming fixed satellite communications such as remote island networks. In this paper, to expand the application areas of the spectrum suppressed transmission to ESV (Earth Stations on board Vessels) systems, its BER (Bit Error Rate) performances are obtained by computer simulation. Moreover, the frequency utilization efficiency of the spectrum suppressed transmission for ESV is confirmed.
