[Poster Presentation] Improvement of Calculation Method of Arriving Waves from Road Direction by Constraint of Launched Rays

(in English) In the ray tracing method, which is widely used to analyze the radio wave characteristics in mobile communication environments, one of the technical issues is to improve the efficiency of the calculation. As one of the methods, it has been proposed to limit the calculation of paths only to dominant ones in terms of the radio wave characteristics. In the previous study on this subject, it was pointed out that the error is large in the region where arriving waves from the road direction (arriving waves from the edge of the building in the direction of the road where the mobile station is located) is dominant compared with the other paths. We thought that the reason was that the method of determining paths was inappropriate. In this study, we apply the ray-launching method to improve the path determination for more accurate path search. Also, to improve the efficiency of the calculation, we consider a method to constrain the ray direction from the base station to buildings of which the top is in line-of-sight from the base station. We evaluate the estimation accuracy of the propagation loss and the calculation time of the method.
