Research on procedural technology of 3D landscape image using fractal models and genetic algorithm

(in English) We propose an automatic generation method of 3D landscape data to meet the growing demand for 3D content and the labor shortage of creators due to the utilization of 3DCG in animation production and the development of virtual reality (VR). In this study, we aim to generate a 3D model with a desired shape by optimizing the parameters for fractal model generation using a genetic algorithm. A 2D image is used as the target image, and the similarity between the 3D shape and target image is calculated based on a method such as using feature extraction by a trained deep neural network (VGG19) and used as an evaluation standard.
