[Poster Presentation] A Study of Deformation Compensation for Deployment of a Foldable and Storable Reflectarray Antenna

(in English) Satellite onboard antennas are stored on the ground and deployed in orbit due to the volume limitation at launch. Conventional satellite onboard antennas use rigid substrates and support structures to maintain a high flatness of the antenna surface. These structures make them unsuitable for larger antenna surfaces in terms of weight and storage efficiency. In this study, a thin-film flexible substrate is used for the antenna surface. The phase shift caused by the deformation is electrically compensated by circuit elements on the surface. We investigate the realization of a lightweight and high storable reflectarray antenna for a small satellite.
