(in English) This paper presents a varactor-loaded dual-band multi-ring microstrip antenna fed by an L-probe with straight shorted elements. A varactor-loaded single-layer shorted multi-ring microstrip antenna (MSA) fed by an L-probe has been proposed as a miniaturized frequency-tunable multiband planar antenna. In this antenna, a half area of the ring patches can be removed by the shorting vias connecting between the patches and the ground plane and the rest of the patch area are divided into two separated L-shaped elements respectively. Therefore, resonant frequencies of the two separated elements can be controlled independently. Furthermore, one of the two separated elements can be removed and then further miniaturization of the frequency-tunable dual-band MSA is possible. In order to reduce cross polarization radiated from the L-shaped shorted elements, a varactor-loaded dual-band MSA fed by an L-probe with straight shorted elements is proposed. In this paper, frequency-tunable performance and radiation properties of the proposed frequency-tunable miniaturized dual-band MSA with straight shorted elements are investigated experimentally.
