A Study on Applying Conditions of BDOF on VVC

(in English) In this paper, it is reported that a study result regarding applying conditions of Bi-Directional Optical-Flow (BDOF), which is one of the tools newly adopted to the latest video coding standard H.266/VVC. More precisely, details and experimental results of two proposed methods, which are an early termination method to determine whether BDOF is applied and an applying condition considering the distance of time between a current frame and two reference frames, are indicated, respectively.
