In Society 5.0, it is expected that the utilization of wireless communication will expand into various fields and play an important role as a social infrastructure technology. On the other hand, it is predicted that existing problems, such as spectrum resource shortage due to congested use of radio waves, will become more serious, and research and development to solve these problems are being actively carried out worldwide. For verifying these issues, the wireless emulator that the authors are working on enables various evaluations related to wireless communication by constructing a virtual environment in a virtual space and imitating radio wave propagation characteristics in a real environment. This paper describes the outline of the wireless emulator and the platform development for realizing wireless communication performance evaluation in a virtual environment. |
