A proximity-based localization that uses the non-geotagged responses of sensors to estimate the positions of sensors in an observation area was proposed in a previous study. The positions of sensors are estimated based on the proximity relationships among sensors. To improve the localization accuracy, it is important to identify the error-increasing factors. This study compared two types of proximity recognition methods by experiments using sensors that detect human movements. As a result, we showed the superiority of proximity recognition method B over method A. In addition, we determined that the main factor related to increased sensor localization errors was the number of incorrectly estimated proximity relationships through the experiment using real devices. |
