Development ofmmWave or higher frequency bands where rich frequency bandwidth resources are available is widely discussed. Unfortunately, when we communicate using such high frequency bands, slight blocking of the line-of-sight between the transmitter and the receiver incurs large attenuation of the received signal. Thus, to ensure the line-of-sight is important in high frequency band communications. In order to lower the blockage probability, distributed antenna system in which many antennas are distributed to communicate with user terminals is effective. The antennas shall be installed apart from each other to reduce the correlation of the blockage. In this report, calculation formulae of equivalent visibility is derived from visibility and autocorrelation function for human-body blockage assuming that human bodies follow a homogeneous Poisson point process. In addition, based on the derived results, some of the antenna deployment design examples are also shown. |
