As the use of coastal areas expands, the demand for ocean radar is increasing. Potential of the radar is not limited to wave observations, but to acquire other oceanographic information. We deployed an ocean radar on the roof of the Faculty of Engineering, Niigata University since January 2020. This radar system has a dual-polarization feature to help the multi-purpose
use of ocean radars. In this report, we evaluate the discrimination performance of ships and aircraft by polarimetric ocean radar from the observed data. |
