In Mobile Ad-hoc Network(MANET), it is assumed that the IP address of the destination terminal is known, but it is not in case of emergencies such as disasters. In addition, MANET terminals are assumed to operate on battery power, and they consume battery power by relaying data to other terminals. Therefore, the network life is expected to be extended by controlling the route considering the remaining battery power. AODV-SOS, a routing protocol that enables rescue request communication even when the IP address of the destination terminal is unknown, has been proposed, but it does not take the remaining battery power into account. In this paper, we propose a new routing protocol, Power Aware Routing-AODV-SOS(PAR- AODV-SOS), which is a battery-aware routing protocol for AODV-SOS, and evaluate its performance. |
