Measurement of frequency characteristic in photodetectors using two-tone signals and estimation of non-linearity in photodetectors for wide-band signals

(in English) In wideband radio systems, radio-over-fiber would play important roles in simplification of the system. In a fiber wireless system, it is important to evaluate the characteristics of a photodetector that offers optical-to-electric signal conversion for extracting radio waveforms from optical signals and particularly to evaluate non-linearity. This article introduces the results of frequency characteistic measurement of a photodetector using an optical two-tone signal and applying athe nonlinear characteristic evaluation of a photodetector to broadband signals.
