Improvements on the Receiving Functions of Disaster Prevention Broadcasting Systems Based on Audio Data Hiding

(in English) A disaster prevention broadcasting system using audio data hiding technique has been proposed. In this system, disaster information is embedded in a siren sound and transmit from a loud speaker. The embedded information can be extracted from the received audio signal. In this sense, this system can transmit the disaster information without using wifi connections or Internet. Besides, any visual information can be transmit as disaster information. The objective of this study is to improve the performance of this system. We try to shorten the processing time at the receiver, and improve the bit-error-rate performance of the system by using error correcting codes. In addition, a mobile application for Android OS is developed. The performance of the developed Android application is also evaluated through subjective evaluation experiments.
