Considering Container Architecture to Accelerate OSS Function Update about Switching Method
Kiyotaka Saito, Takashi Shirai (NTT) ICM2020-77
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In telecommunication carriers, we have managed NW services stably and efficiently by using OpS (Operation Support System). In recent years, in order to respond to the rapid development of ICT technology and the diversification of services, it is required to promptly provide various NW services. And the development and construction of OpS that manage services are also required to be shortened. However, the existing OpS upgrade procedure used to add or modify functions took a long time to ensure the quality of service. For this reason, we are considering how quickly the operation function can be updated. In this paper, we focused on OSS and containers and investigated whether they could be used for OpS development. In this paper, we describe the results of considering whether OSS and containers can be used for OpS development.
