Bitcoin-type blockchains have a problem called oracle problem, where blockchains themselves cannot prove the authenticity of external data, and must rely on single external source of information. In this study, we examine how to utilize collective intelligence as a workaround for this problem. We propose a method for multiple verification of equivalent information sent by multiple nodes using the principle of majority voting to sift out the truth of the information. By implementing the proposed method, we also conducted a performance evaluation experiment assuming a scenario of sending erroneous information, such as a sensor failure, in some IoT nodes. As a result, we confirmed that when 45% or less IoT nodes send the erroneous information, it can be automatically eliminated with almost 100% probability. |
