Improvement Method for False Detection caused by Electromagnetic Noise using Comparison of Received Signals in FMCW Radar

(in English) A Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar with fast-chirp can identify multi-target. In this radar, the beat frequency for calculating distance is in the MHz bands. So, this FMCW radar is required an A/D converter with several ten MHz sampling frequency. On the other hands, WPT (Wireless Power Transfer) system for electronics devices are used at MHz bands. When the leakage power of these equipment is applied to an A/D converter as electromagnetic noise, the noise signal would cause a false detection. We propose a novel method to improve the false detection using comparison of received signals. The effectiveness of the proposal method was confirmed by experimental results.
