Performance Evaluations of NOMA with Imperfect CSI in Infrastructure-less Cellular V2X in Crash Warning System
Takeshi Hirai, Tutomu Murase (Nagoya Univ.) IN2020-78
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper presents performance evaluations of the non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) with imperfect channel state information (CSI) in the infrastructure-less cellular-vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X mode 4) in the crash warning system. NOMA uses the successive interference cancellation (SIC), referring to CSI. However, V2X causes imperfect CSI due to the dynamic mobility, and thus, such imperfect CSI may practically provide worse packet reception reliability of NOMA for V2X, called SPS-NOMA, than perfect CSI. To investigate the impacts of imperfect CSI for SPS-NOMA, we model SIC with a stochastically imperfect CSI. Our simulation results demonstrated that SPS-NOMA achieved 22% better performance than the current mode 4 even in such imperfect CSI.
