In recent years, there has been research on the use of heartbeat signals detected by radar without contact as biometric authentication. However, it has been reported that biometrics such as images, fingerprints, and irises can be forged, and heartbeat biometrics can be forged as well. In a related study, a heartbeat signal extracted by Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) was used to simulate a heartbeat using a linear actuator on a biometric signal acquired by radar. On the other hand, EMD has a problem of "Mode Mixing", which causes errors in the simulation process. In this study, we conducted heartbeat simulating experiments using heartbeat signals extracted by Improved Complete Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition with Adaptive Noise (ICEEMDAN), which overcomes the "Mode Mixing" phenomenon. The simulated and original heartbeat waveforms were compared by Root-mean-square-error (RMSE). The same procedure was applied to EMD to confirm its usefulness. As a result, the RMSE was 0.1491 mm on average when simulated with the heart rate signal generated by ICEEMDAN, and 0.2333 mm on average when simulated with EMD. |
