Study on Combination of Phase Rotation and ASK for SD-SM-MIMO

(in English) For multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems, SD-SM-MIMO which combines the space division multiplexing (SD) and spatial modulation (SM) transmissions has been proposed. For the SM transmission of SD-SM-MIMO, the phase shift keying (PSK) by the non-null signal and the null modulation by the null signal are utilized, but the modulation by the null and non-null signals such as the amplitude shift keying (ASK) not evaluated. Also, in the conventional SD-SM-MIMO, channel ranking (CR) and QR decomposition with M-algorithm maximum likelihood detection (QRM-MLD) is utilized for the detection technique, but the phase rotation is not evaluated to avoid the overlapping for the different constellation. Therefore, in this paper, we study the combining for the phase rotation and the ASK at the SD-SM-MIMO. From the computer simulation result, the proposed method shows the good bit error rate (BER) performance.
