Photonic generation of wideband electrical PM signal using the Armstrong method

(in English) Recently, there have been several reports on analog-based mobile front haul systems. We have also demonstrated high-fidelity analog transmission using phase modulation. However, an extremely high-input voltage, which is usually much greater than Vπof an optical phase modulator, is necessary to generate a phase-modulated (PM) signal with a high modulation index. In this report, we introduce the recently proposed photonic Armstrong method for avoiding the issue.
