High-Precision the Estimation of a Rebar using Concrete Radar
Kenta Nakamura, Toshiyuki Tanaka (Nagasaki Univ.) SANE2020-52
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The presence or absence of reinforcing bars in concrete can be easily determined by using concrete radar. However, the covering depth and the rebar diameter cannot be estimated accurately. We have proposed a method to estimate the relative permittivity of concrete, the location of the rebar and the rebar diameter simultaneously using electromagnetic pulse. The proposed method could not estimate the rebar diameter bar with sufficient accuracy on the actual measurement. The reason for this is the influence of the conductivity of concrete.
In this paper, the estimation method to consider the conductivity is discussed. In addition, the diurnal variation of the relative permittivity of the concrete is discussed using a concrete radar.
