Computing Derivatives of Propagation Constants by Differentiating Finite Element Matrices for Waveguide Models

(in English) Modified Neloson's and Dailey's methods for computing the derivatives of eigenvectors were presented for asymmetric generalized eigenvalue problems with normallization condition of the eigenvectors by carrying power of guided electromagnetic wave. In addition, a mathod of differentiating an explicit forms of the eigenvector was introduced. Computed results of the group velocity and the group velocity dispersion of low-dispersion holey fibers demonstrate the validity and effectiveness of the calclaation method.
