Shape Design of Dielectric Cover for Millimeter-Wave Waveguide Slot Array Antenna Using Topology Optimization

(in English) Recent years, millimeter wave applications have been used widely as high-precision sensors for water level gauges, automobile detecting obstacles, imaging sensors, and so on. Our goal is the development of the shape design method of the dielectric cover for the antenna, which is required to protect the opening surface of the sensor. Since the gain of the antenna is assumed to reduce when the flat cover is loaded, we propose a novel shape of the dielectric cover including the convex structure using the topology optimization. In this study, we design the dielectric cover for 76 GHz band waveguide slot array antenna which has 8 slots.
