In this report, the highly sensitive 920 MHz band rectenna with the folded dipole antenna on the one-dimensional AMC(Artificial Magnetic Conductor) substrate is described. For clarification of mechanism on high impedance behavior of the overall antenna, we establish the transmission line model for the FDA on the AMC substrate. In experimental investigations, estimated antenna impedance from rectenna measurements is 27 kΩ, and it is good agreement with the calculated value of 29 kΩ based on the transmission line model. The result confirms the mechanism for high impedance characteristic of the proposed antenna configuration. It is key technique to achieve extreme high rectification efficiency in sub-μW class rectenna. |
