Synchronous optical code-division multiple access (CDMA), which uses an modified prime sequence code as the spreading code and uses an appropriate interference cancellation scheme, can completely eliminate interference from multiple users. Recently, in order to increase the number of transmission bits, a synchronous optical CDMA transmission scheme using the level-division multiplexing combined with the equal-weight orthogonal scheme has been proposed. In this study, we assume two kinds of photodetectors, APD (avalanche photodiode) and PIN-PD (PIN photodiode), and evaluate the decoding bit error rate characteristics by computer simulation. |
