Mantle Cloak Antenna by Controlling Surface Reactance of Dielectric Loaded Dipole Antenna

(in English) Recently, antennas for various systems are often placed in proximity in a narrow space with the miniaturization of wireless terminals and the diversification of wireless systems. In such an installation environment, techniques for miniaturizing mutual coupling between systems or antenna elements have become a vital research subject. In recent years, the reduction mutual coupling between antennas has been examined by using metamaterial. It has been reported that the mutual coupling between antennas can be sharply reduced in the vicinity of the operating frequency by using left-handed parasitic elements. However, the radiation characteristics of the antenna change at the operating frequency. This paper presents that the band rejection characteristics can be obtained by controlling a surface reactance of a dielectric loaded dipole antenna and the variable range of the operating frequency and the stopband frequency is clarified. Also, a mantle cloak antenna using strip conductors is designed, and the antenna characteristics and the operating principle of the antenna is considered.
