[Poster Presentation] Bandwidth Enhancement of Waveguide Coupler by Changing the Cross-Section of the Coupling Region in the Axial Direction

(in English) We have a problem of narrow bandwidth in the waveguide two-plane coupler. The two-plane coupler integrates the functions of E-plane and H-plane couplers. The E-plane couplers have a narrow bandwidth. Therefore, we improve the bandwidth of the E-plane coupler and apply it to the two-plane coupler. The shape of the cross section is changed in the axial direction in the coupling region, and the optimal values of the parameters are determined by a genetic algorithm after the characteristics are analyzed by the mode matching method.
