It has become popular to use communication terminals such as mobile phones or PC in an indoor environment where human bodies are moving. Also, in recent years, spatial signal processing technologies are used as technologies to improve the communication performance. For these technologies, spatial correlation characteristics of multipath fading are important. On the other hand, movement of an object such as a human body around a terminal causes other fluctuations due to shadowing. Therefore, investigation of the spatial correlation characteristics in the presence of human shadowing in an indoor environment considering both of the characteristics is necessary. In this paper, we assume an indoor environment where people move around a terminal and evaluate the spatial correlation characteristics of the signal strength of the direct wave for variation of number and size of the human bodies. In addition, we evaluate spatial correlation characteristics of signal strength in multipath environment considering human body shadowing. Based on the above evaluations, we investigate the spatial correlation characteristics considering human body shadowing in an indoor environment. |
