[Poster Presentation] Evaluation of Channel Capacity Considering Propagation Characteristics of UAV's Height

(in English) The authors have proposed a MIMO transmission system using a unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) as a relay station to improve the propagation loss and spatial correlation. In this paper, we focus on the propagation characteristics between base stations and drones and between drones and users in 1-hop transmissions between base stations and users, and propose a propagation model with the height of drones as the main parameter. In addition, we compare and evaluate the channel capacity with and without relaying using the propagation model. It is observed that when the drone is higher than the surrounding buildings, it becomes close to the free-space propagation loss, and this effect can improve the channel capacity of the proposed system using a drone as a relay station compared to the case without relay.
