Design and Evaluation of Compact Interfaces between Adiabatic Quantum-Flux-Parametron Logic and Rapid Single-Flux-Quantum Logic

(in English) In superconducting circuits, adiabatic quantum flux parametron (AQFP) circuits with high energy efficiency and fast single-flux-quantum (RSFQ) circuits with fast operation have been proposed. In order to construct a large scale system taking advantage of these circuits, we are studying the interface circuits between AQFP and RSFQ circuits. In this study, we have designed a non-adiabatic variation of the QFP circuit to generate a pulsed voltage at the Josephson junction and convert it to a SFQ pulse. The designed interface circuit has a smaller number of junctions and a smaller circuit area than the conventional interface circuit, and a wider bias margin in the simulation. The interface circuit is useful for long-distance signal propagation in an AQFP circuit with a limited wiring length.
