A study on reduction of circumferential sampling points in far field conversion using cylindrical near field

(in English) There is a far field conversion method based on cylindrical near field measurement for sector antennas. In this study, we consider high speed near field measurement using multiple probes in the circumferential direction. If you use multi probe, when the measurement radius is small, it is difficult to arrange the probes densely due to the influence of ,mutual coupling , as a result, the sampling interval becomes large. In this study, the amplitude and phase information are interpolated from a small number of sample points. It turned out that sampling interval is required at least 30[deg] for general sector antenna. We also clarified the sampling interval when the number of elements in the horizontal direction is large.
