In this research, we propose a new information acquisition method for obtaining the distance to the target and the information embedded in it by using the in-vehicle infrared laser radar and multiple types of reflectors with different reflection rate. In the proposed method, we consider installing a reflector code on a cylinder that assumes a utility pole, as opposed to a reflector code that was previously installed on a flat wall that assumes a guardrail. This is called a curved surface reflector code. As a result, the reflector code can be installed even on roads where flat walls such as guardrails are not installed, so vehicles can acquire road information in more places than before. As a result of verifying the recognition accuracy of this reflector code by experiments using a vehicle, it was found that the distance between the vehicle and the reflector code could be recognized up to 2 m. |
