Estimation of recognizing emotions of facial images using EEG features
Satoru Waseda, Minoru Nakayama (TokyoTech) HCS2020-10 HIP2020-10
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Relationship between viewer's scalp potentials and subjective impression
during viewing facial emotions was analysed using a logistic regression
technique.
Some features of event-related potentials (ERPs) at frontal and central
electrodes were extracted, and two-dimensional rating scores were
measured using the Affect Grid scale. In order to reduce individual
difference on the rating scores, item response theory (IRT) was
introduced to convert sensitivities from the scores. These
sensitivities show clearly a mutual relationship between facial emotions.
As a result, a possibility of prediction for the sensitivity from
features of ERPs has been confirmed.
