Children with learning disabilities have difficulties in reading and writing of characters. We aim to support the writing of kanji for students who have difficulty learning. In this report, we evaluated whether the guided character presentation method, in which characters are presented in the stroke order by mechanical leading, is effective in learning kanji for children with learning disabilities. In the experiment, the recall task in case of the learning and non-learning kanji were given for both the conventional learning method to write visually by using a learning drill and the learning method by guided character presentation that lead a finger in the writing order, was conducted to compare long-term memory retention after 1, 2, 4, and 8 weeks. As a result, in the shape and the writing order of the kanji written on the recall test, it was obtained a tendency that the guided character presentation had a higher correct answer rate for non-learning characters. |
