An Attempt of Error Term Reduction for Cross-Coupled-Transistor-Type Negative Impedance Converter for the Performance Improvement of Common-Mode Current Suppressor

(in English) Previously, a device for actively suppressing the common mode current was proposed, and a configuration using a cross-coupled transistor was proposed for higher operation speed.
This device is based on the principle that the sign of the impedance of the reference ferrite core is inverted and loaded on the secondary winding of the suppression ferrite core, so that the primary winding's impedance of the suppression ferrite core diverges to infinity.
However, there is an error term in the negative impedance converter using the cross-coupled transistor.
In this report, to reduce the error term, we tried the insertion of a diode-connected transistor, the use of Darlington connection.Also, based on the measurement result of transistor characteristic difference, we investigated the influence of transistor imbalance, effect of selecting the optimal combination, etc. We tried to eliminate the bistable operation and reduce the error term by the method described above, and aimed at improving the common mode suppression performance.
