Various devices and equipment have connectibility with telecommunication, mobile networks, internet and local industrial or private networks. Portable processors, mobile terminals and control devices with sensing and measurement function are widely spread in manufacturing scene and everyday life. Real time information of environment or materials and people traffic gathered by such IoT devices can provide us with industrially and socially high-valued Big data. In addition, such information around IoT devices embedded in everyday space often plays a critical role for disaster control. We study a demand responsive real time Big data networks connecting pervasive local multihop mesh networks. Information and communication Lab. (Tanaka Lab.) of NIT-Tokyo college has already developed local mesh networks consisting of mobile terminals, small processing devices, drones and mini-robots. High-speed transmission networks such as SINET provide open interfaces to widen these local mesh networks to national scale. A shared memory space working in concert with Label switching / VPN is implemented so as to integrate all terminals. This shared memory system for our local mesh network to treat wider-area data processing are discussed with performance review. We then discuss further developing distributed wide-area networks with IoT devices and describe related technologies. |
