Proposal of Beyond-Nyquist-Band of Water Vapor Radiometer using RF Under Sampling

(in English) It is important to develop a water vapor radiometer to accurately measure the amount of water vapor and cloud water in the atmosphere for early forecasting of heavy rainfall and improving determinism of radio wave astronomical observation. Since the frequency characteristics of radiation differ between water vapor and cloud water, it is possible to separate radiation from water vapor and cloud water accurately by measuring over a wide band signal (16-30 GHz). In order to miniaturize the receiver, we propose a new receiver configuration that can receive a signal in the beyond-Nyquist-band of 14 GHz with a single Analog digital converter(ADC) at maximum sampling rate of 16 GHz and a spectrum reconstruction method using clock switching. By using different sampling rates (16 GHz, 14 GHz), it was demonstrated by simulation that the wideband signal spectrum of 16-30 GHz can be restored.
